I run a boutique food business, and I am struggling to strike a balance between creating visually appealing custom packaging and ensuring that it meets food safety regulations.

I would appreciate insights from the forum community on how to design packaging that is both attractive and compliant with food safety standards.

There doesn’t seem to be enough information to offer anything meaningful.

I would say that the food safety standard should always trump aesthetics.

If the food is attractive I would opt for clear packaging or a clear panel.

If the food doesn’t show well I would offer it in a container with a photo that shows the item attractively displayed for serving.

Watch what the major players do and steal the ideas that fit your business model.
