I'd better fix the cake before I start on your bourbon, Uncle Bob.
I got put on disciplinary probation at North Texas Sate University because I drank a pint of bourbon after three days of beer. It was a dry county, and the dean of women, "Dean Dickey", a spinster Baptist preacher, didn't think much of me because I refused to be penitent, and wouldn't tell her where the party was...(I really didn't know.)
My dad warned me that the White's (my family name) could not drink whiskey, and he sure was right.
However...a finger or two of your good bourbon sounds awfully good.
Just took several loaves of french bread from the oven, I'll bring those and some butter...Let me know if there is anything else you'd like me to bring.
