I used canned(shoot me) black beans, chicken stock, red peppers, jalapenos, onion, and cilantro.
Sweat onion, add diced peppers, season with s+p, (optional cumin, chili powder, smoked paprika), add stock, bring to a boil, add canned beans, simmer, reduce for a bit, and I typically use an immersion blender to puree. Bowl and garnish with a little sour cream/cheese/tortillias/minced cilantro/pico...you get the idea.
