I have been watching ads on TV for this new show premiering soon. It's about some guy in NYC(?) who talks to dogs and helps them with their "issues".

Seriously? A TV series about a guy who talks to dogs (and they don't talk back).

Andy you have lost sight of the fact that it takes all kinds to make up this crazy world of ours. But look on the bright side. At least he is not a member of DC. :) Or maybe that isn't the bright side. Think of all the fun we could have with him. We could tell him what our dogs are saying to us and find out what they mean. Oh I do have an evil side.

That's nothing Andy we have an heir to the throne who talks to plants and married a camel.

My first (as an adult) dog was a talker. I've been told it was the Chihuahua in her (she was a mostly Jack Russell). She could sit and have a conversation. Of course, aside from the usual, I had no idea what she was saying. She just vocalized a lot.

I have seen a pet psychic on TV--she didn't even see the dogs, just talked to the owners on the phone, and told them what their dogs were 'thinking'.

I could do that. Mostly what the dogs are thinking is "I am a dog. Dogs do not wear clothing, dogs run around and sniff butts and roll in dead things. Stop giving me a bath so often, get your dead butt off the couch and take me for a walk in the woods, and for heaven's sake, don't speak to me like I was an infant."

Think I could charge $250 an hour for that?

Dog Whisperers Speak Dog

Good Evening,

This is an interesting post.

This is not new, as phenomenal renowned Dog Whisperer Cesar Millán, has a Dog Whisperer Institute for learning how to. He hails from Mexico, however, has a tremendous following in the USA and the Iberian Peninsula.

Does anyone know who I am speaking about ?

I also know a North American Chef who is a Cat Whispherer. It is an amazing labor.

Ciao. Have nice evening.
Margi.

Hey people are watching all kind of "reality shows" and are totally hooked. What is it called "Real wife or something..." then there is the Kadarsians, whatever their name. The father is probably turning in the grave. But people are crazy about it. Honestly I'd rather watch some lunatic talking to the dogs.

We canceled cable to see if we could "live" without it.

Every time we go to visit my mom, or his mom, we see what is on cable and say to each other, "I can't believe that we once paid for this crap!" Of course there is some good programming on cable, but it isn't worth spending all that money on the other channels to get it.

I can get just about whatever I want to see from Netflix, my antenna (with homemade dvr) and hulu. If I really need to see a series right off, I can buy it from Amazon for a lot less than one month of cable.

I watch his show daily. Cesar is a dog lover and I totally agree with all he say's and does. I admire him more than I can say as does my little grand daughter who employs his methods on her dog and has a lovable, well behaved pooch.

I keep trying to have a sensible conversation with Max but all he wants to do is talk dirty.

Chef & Cat Whisperer

:)

Good Evening CWS,

Right on.

It is a very lucrative business since numerous people adopt abused and abandoned animals. Dog Therapists, Cat Whispherer, Horse Whispherers etc. It is a combination therapist and trainer, re-trainer and behavior specialists. César Millán has an Institute in L.A. and Spain I believe for those interested.

They make good money too, true ... Look at César Millán on TV ... He has programmes on in Los Angeles and Spain ...

:) Have lovely wkend.
Margi.

Kades,

WOW ... I like César too. He truly has a special connection with our canine friends. He is able to diagnose immediately, issues a dog suffers, his background and his or her problems. Amazing dude.

His programme is on Saturday mornings. I watch it sometimes while having breakfast when I am able.

He has a book too, now.

Thanks for letting me know. He truly re-engineers bad conduct and poor habits.

Ciao, Have nice wkend.

If you've ever gone to his show in person--amazing. And, the leaning into the dog works--the DH's dog is very needy, very "in your face." I was bit by a dog and had to have 250+ stitches (might have been more--that is when my mom stopped counting) in my head/face (1/4 of my scalp was ripped off). So I lean into him and he backs off. I don't like animals in my face (wonder why?!) I am also allergic so I like them to be respectful of my personal space. I obviously care about animals (chickens, dogs, and cats), but I have to have boundaries because of my allergies and history.

CWS: TV Show In Madrid Capital

CWS,

Buonsera. Firstly, to answer your question, No I have not been on Cesar Millan´s T.V. Programme in Spain. ( Los Angeles is not an option in 2012 ).

I have thought he would be quite an interesting chap to interview for my magazine actually ... I have thought to contact the Producer of the TV Show and César Millán directly.

Perhaps in September, when the new season begins ... Right now, everyone is concentrating on vacation.

We plan to spend some time in Switzerland with the Gals and the children and just the two of us at the condo in Puglia.

Have nice evening.
Ciao.
Margi. :)
