In ur house, eatin ur foodz.
Had this 22 lb bird sitting in the freezer (already pumped..wife bought it), so decided to do it up this weekend. I didn't do a thing to it (trying to eat a little healthier so Puff will stop calling me fat  ).

I put in over Royal Oak lump with maple and cherry. Pulled it off when the breast was 163.

Cut it all up and had 3 freezer bags of smoked turkey to last a while!

Nice!!! 3 bags wouldnt last long around here..never seems to anyway. Hope the next one or two I do turn out lookin that good

Now that's a good looking bird. I smoked one last thanksgiving and the folks loved it. That cherry wood does great with birds.

I think I'm commited to making one every year that way now.

Brother, I understand the "trying to eat healthier so people stop calling me fat" syndrome. I'm right behind you on that one.
