Hard Jube type Jelly Candy

HI. This is my first time on this list. I wanted to make jelly candies, but very firm ones, like jubes (?Allens make hard fruit jubes and fruit pastilles here in Australia, maybe you have something similar?). The regular recipes I have only make the soft jellies, and I want something that melts in the mouth slowly or takes a bit more effort to chew.
In our local fruit shop they sell bags of 'mandarin sours' which taste divine! I would die to get that recipe!
Any suggestions please?
