I was given a bag and told that there was a grinder in it. Upon looking at the contents of the bag I found 2 grinders with miscellaneous parts.
the 1st is a Climax with number 51 cast on it. The disk is round with 20 1/4 inch dia. holes around the edge. The grinder appears to be cast iron with some type of coating on it. The handle, disk assembly and auger are removable.
The 2nd is a Universal with the number 1572 on it. It has 3 disks, 1 that has 20 curved teeth, a 2nd disk that has 20 straight teeth, and a 3rd that in the shape of a square, with 4 teeth each coming off the left side as you face the disk.
My question is can the grinders be use as a meat grinder and what are the uses of the 3 disks for the Universal grinder?
a Google search showed what looked like the Universal grinder, but having different number, as a grain grinder. Thanks for any information you can give.
