This could go so many places so I'll start here. It could go under Substitutions or even the Health Forum. I made a pot of Minestrone last night with a bunch of stuff from our Farmer's Market. I normally put a ham hock in there. I didn't want to go to the store so I left it out. I finished each bowl with a VERY light sprinkling of my Hickory smoked pepper...OMG...it worked! MUCH healthier than a smoked ham hock and it truly tasted like it had been added. Just had to share.
