Haddock en croute flavored with garlic, lemon, scallions and white wine. Rice pilaf and salad on the side.

A first-run Mongolian Beef and jasmine rice. I played with the recipe a tiny bit. It was pretty good.

Tonight's supper was a Danish dish called millionbøf (million steak, because all the little pieces of ground beef are the million steaks ? ). We had it with pickled beets and a (dill) pickle, because that is traditional. We have had it before and it's definitely more comfort food than gourmet. I tried a new recipe for pickled beets that is meant to be quick. I made them this afternoon and it worked well.

I realized I still have quite a bit of ham left. Tonight we had grilled ham and cheese (American for Himself, Swiss for me) on rye, and roasted broccoli and cauliflower.
