I don't get newspapers, nor do I have a radio.... and I can and do turn off the news on TV 98% of the time.

Anywhos, yeah! We "cut the cord" long ago, thank goodness,
we do not take a Newspaper any longer, we stream what we
want to watch, which has nothing to do with any of the World's
Events.
Don't get me wrong, we haven't buried our heads in the sand,
we spend maybe an hour a day catching up, but we limit that
time so as not to get too overwhelmed (reads as p-o'd).
DH was spending far too much time on all of this nonsense,
and getting extremely agitated.
This too, Discuss Cooking, has been a safe harbor.
Food, and everything surrounding it is comforting, to me.
