I came across a recipe which contains banana ketchup.
I never heard of it before, and just assumed it was a brand name.
I did a little investigating and found out its a Filipino condiment made from bananas, sugar, vinegar, spices ... Apparently it was created around WWII when there was. a shortage oof tomatoes in he Philippines ( nt sure of the accuracy but read it somewhere).
Anyway, just curious if anyone has tasted it or frequently uses it, a description or comparison of what it tastes like and how or on what do you use it.
I love finding new things.
