We just got back from London for a week... man is it expensive to eat in that city!! A simple lunch of cottage pie with a salad (shared by my dd and myself) with a lager for me and sparkling water for her was over 18 pounds... that's $36!!

I don't see how Londoners make it in that city. Even groceries were expensive.

Oh, and petrol... no more complaints about gas prices from me. When we left Germany, a gallon of gas (they sell it by the litre) was about $5 with the exchange rate. Citizens of London are paying $8/gallon! :ohmy:
