Did You Know...

There ae cooking techniques that will reduce sodium, potassium, and phosphorous levels in certain foods, making them available to those with kindey disease. One such method is to soak root veggies, such as potatoes, sweet potatoes, and rutabaga in fresh water for 2 hours, then double boiling them. Poaching tomato slices in oil and water will leach potassium from tomatoes and lima beans. This cooking method will also leach phosphorous from meats.

I find most "official" sources have an agenda to push.

Everyone has an agenda to push. Sometimes it's as simple as helping people get and stay well.

I'm sorry you've had such poor experiences with people. Mine have been different.

My primary source is my nutritionist, then, my phrenologist. And then there's the kidney foundation, Davita, and a host of online sources. Here is one site: -https://www.kidney.org/atoz/content/potassium
