Last Sunday I used:

6 lbs butter
1 liter bourbon
24 C flour
6 C corn flour
6 C sugar
3 oranges
4 lemons
Vanilla
4 T ground cardamon
1 tsp cinnamon
1/ C crystallized ginger
3 C dried cranberries

What did I make? :chef:

Fruited short bread or short bread cookies.

EDIT, you were baking with a friend, the bourbon was for you and your friend.

Winner! Exactly.

We made short bread - lots and lots of shortbread and there were some whiskey sours involved ;)

20 boxes or so to give to friends and relatives. These cookies are about 5 inches across and each box has about 8 cookies in a cello sleeve tied up with a bit of ribbon. We kept the not so perfect cookies out to eat with drinks. The fruited cookies don;t look nearly as nice as plain short bread but sure do taste great! if you want to make plain, leave out the fruit. This short bread recipe is fabulous and the corn flour gives the perfect sandy texture and adds a little flavor.

They look beautiful.
I'll let you know how they taste when they get here. <wink wink>

I gave up when I read:

I had an inkling that it wasn't "dessert for two"... :ROFLMAO:
