Aretha Franklin, The 'Queen of Soul,' Dies at 76

Sad to hear of the passing of the great Aretha Franklin today. Such a tremendous voice and career.

Watch Aretha actually bring tears to President Obama's eyes in this 2015 Kennedy Center tribute to Carole King. I challenge you not to get a bit emotional watching this.

A member in a group that Pirate belongs to said it so perfectly.

"Today she will be singing in God's choir."

There is nothing to add after that.

It is said that she had a range of four octaves. That's superhuman. Even if it was only three octaves, that is impressive.
