i found the topsy turvey ones very unsatisfactory . they were very heavy when dirt was in them. then they rotted. definitely won't last two seasons as the hoop-la said it would. i think the plastic pail are the way to go. didn't get many tomatoes at all.
 
I had 3 of them last year, I got them as presents. They were heavy, hard to work with and none of the plants I put in them grew. I had planted 1 tomato, 1 cucumber, and 1 squash. Complete waste of money IMHO. I have had better luck with a large pot.
