At the little church around the corner in NYC, my mom and dad pledged to love each other until death did them part. My dad is caring for my mom who has dementia and mobility issues...they have been together a lifetime. Happy anniversary, Mom and Dad! Love you to the moon and back. Pst--what's your secret? How'd you last this long?

CWS, congratulations to your parents' wonderful love and dedication to each other. Your Dad is a real hero. It can't be easy either physically or emotionally to watch the love of his life slip away.

My parents were blessed with 50 years of marriage before my Dad died. When people would ask how they lasted so long, my Mom would reply "divorce is too expensive, and murder is illegal".
