Perfect Banana Split

Describe to me your perfect banana split. Here's mine:

3 scoops soft French Vanilla Ice Cream
1 banana halved lengthwise
HOt fudge on and around one ice cream scoop
Crushed pineapple, in heavy syrup around another scoop
Sliced fresh strawberries in very heavy syrup around the third scoop
Malted milk powder dusted over the ice cream scoops
Sprinkled with pecan pieces
apple pie filling alongside the banana halves
Chantilly cream all over the top
Maraschino cherry over each ice cream scoop
A small spoon so that I don't eat it two fast

All on a hot summer day, with napkins

So how do you make your ultimate banana split?

My grandmother made wonderful banana splits.

Slice the banana in half lengthwise. Center three scoops of ice cream between the banana halves: 1 scoop of vanilla, 1 scoop of chocolate, and 1 scoop of strawberry.

On the chocolate scoop are strawberries in syrup.
The strawberry is coated in pineapple topping.
The vanilla scoop is dripping with chocolate.

Then dollops of thick whipping cream. Sprinkle chopped mixed nuts over it and THREE maraschino cherries, one on top of each scoop with a bit of cherry juice dripping down the whipped cream.

Woolsworth made them similar too. The ingredients were not as great but still good! Plus, pop a balloon and pay what price was within!

That has always been, to me, the perfect Banana Split. I had my first one, as a kid, when my mom worked at Woolworth's, in the late 40's.

Split banana with 3 scoops:

Coffee ice cream with chocolate sauce
Vanilla Ice cream with extra butterscotch
Pistachio ice cream with chopped peaches in juice

Toasted and chopped pecans over the whole thing
Jimmies
Lab cherries for each scoop
A couple of mint milanos in one end of the dish
No whip

Most importantly - no judgy friends hovering nearby
