Female from New York who loves cooking
My name is Jennifer Lee. I am 30 years old, born in New Zealand, not married yet and now living alone in New York. As a career woman who lived in big city, health is rarely considered because of rushing. I believe you definitely have the same experience with me, living alone in an apartment, doing all the work, including cooking for yourself.
So, in my busy time I take my leisure time to find new friends as much as possible through the forum to share knowledge for everyone.
Regards,
Jennifer Lee

Welcome to DC. Would be interesting to hear your opinions on comparisons of the price and quality of foods available here vs NZ; E.G lamb.

So I hear Attie; thanks for confirming my suspicions. Unfortunately, I guess some of it loses much of its goodness on the long trip to the USA.

Welcome Jennifer! Why don't you tell us what you are eating now and what you'd like to try cooking. When I was a single 30 something, I made myself a proper good meal once or twice a week. Treat yourself and take the time to plan and cook a good meal, and in NYC you can get ANY kind of ingredient - you lucky girl.
Happy Eating -
Jennifer
