Can't get lens cover off oven light bulb

My hands aren't strong enough to twist off the lens cover on the oven light bulb. I think I might have seen a "strap wrench" somewhere in a catalog that might assist my hands. Anyone have any suggestions before I try to buy one?

Sometimes when I can't open a jar, I use a 6" square of that quilted foam shelf liner. More often than not, it allows for a better grip and the lid comes off.

Try using a big, wide elastic - the kind that comes on broccoli from the store. Or, if you have some rubber tubing, try that. Works great for open jars, so it might work.

A rubber glove would also provide grip. Be careful when applying great force to the glass cover as it could break, cutting your hand.
