I wonder if it would be a good idea to copy the previous words when replying. Then it would be easy to see if a word had been used before. Sort of like this:

Flip, Clip, Clap, Clam, slam, slat, flat, ...

Next person just copies and pastes the whole list. Maybe put the new word on a separate line. Just throwing out ideas.
