About 20-25 years ago, I worked in a little neighborhood tavern, and around the holidays, this one patron, used to bring in this "mold" type thing, that you could eat with crackers, or bread or whatever. His mother used to make it, and it was sort of like a jello mold type. But, it had meat in it. and I do not believe she used any sort of jello mixture to prepare it, I think she used the gelatin that forms in the bottom of the pan when you cook certain meats. I do not recall what it was called, and that is what this thread is about. in hopes of someone knowing what i am talking about, and possibly giving me the recipe. I do not even recall if it was beef or pork. thank you Maybe the nationality of the person would help, I believe he was Dutch.

I believe you're describing a terrine. I only know the name of it, as I've never tasted nor made one.
