My friend is from Illinois and she said this is very popular there. Neither James (from Iowa) nor I have ever heard of it, or at least by that name. I did an online search but couldn't find anything by that name, so I thought I would see if any of you have ever heard of it.
I can't remember everything about it, but what I remember is that you put ground beef (I assume browned), thinly sliced raw potatoes, canned tomatoes, and I don't know what else into a casserole and bake it. My friend is planning on making it for us soon. It sounds good, but I have never heard of a casserole called Clarence!
