Bobberqer said:Southern Prides, in particular, are gas fired, that have wood chambers in them, whether it be a smaller model that has a chip chute to produce smoke, or the larger models that have large chutes for logs to be placed in, both of which are heated/lit/fired by the gas, that is tied directly to the thermostat.. temps stay within a prescribed temp, no gas, only heat from the wood source , and the ambient temp of the "box"... the gas only fires when the temp drops below the setting on the thermometer...
