Monday 13th May - what's for dinner?

Until I was much older... and I'm talking decades... the only way I ever ate salmon was with a salmon/mayo mixed salad sandwich and mom's croquettes. Even the sandwiches were very iffy. Tuna was OK. (canned)
Was on my own before I even contemplated cooking salmon. and that from a Maritimer's daughter.... so shameful.. :cry:

I used to make salmon salad and stuff it into pita bread. Haven't done that in years.
 
Funny how we suddenly remember a favourite recipe we haven't made in ages.
So true. I used to eat that stuff on a fairly regular basis. I'd make it again, but I can't find my favorite pita bread anymore. I do miss my pita sandwiches. I'd stuff just about anything into those things.
