My grandpa really likes Mounds Bars, so I Googled "homemade mounds bars" to find some recipes. Of the two I found, this one was better (below). I will make yours and test them against each other to find the family favorite. :) Thanks!

Homemade Mounds Bars

Ingredients:
5 oz. sweetened condensed milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 cups powdered sugar
14 ounces flaked coconut
24 ounces semisweet chips

Blend the milk and the vanilla. Add the sugar a little at a time till
smooth. Stir in the coconut. The mixture should be firm. Pat firmly
into a 9x13 pan and chill till firm. Cut into bars and dip into melted
chocolate and let cool on waxed paper for several hours.

I love mounds but, I like bounty bars better -the coconut seems to be- fresher.

But... what if I'm feeling like a nut?

Is that an unusual way for you to feel?

I suppose almonds could be included, huh?

I love Bounty bars too, and I have to agree, the coconut seems fresher and tastier. But Coconut Mounds is a more than tolerable second!

I think I just might try one of those Mounds recipes! :)

I didn't think an Almond Joy could be better - then they started making them with toasted coconut!! Have you had those?!!

Mounds is made with dark chocolate, so Im pretty sure you will have a more authentic result if you go with a bittersweet chocolate for the coating.

I'm gonna try this myself! :D
