National Fried Chicken Day ~ Today's Menu ~ July 6th 2023

I would have loved me some Fried Chicken, but this sure did hit the spot!

I made @Cooking Goddess Smothered Chicken, with Potatoes and Green Beans ... YUM!

I had a sandwich with a Tyson breaded chicken tender on a burger bun with pickles and some Kewpie mayo. Still don't care for the Kewpie.

I had a ham sandwich, some cheese crackers, watermelon,and Hershey Dark Chocolate kisses.

We went to McKibbins, a local Irish Pub and had supper on their terrasse. We were celebrating our anniversary. DH had fish and chips. I had bangers and mash. We both had Carlsberg. DH had apple pie with ice cream for dessert. I had a small taste, but didn't have room for more. That was enjoyable and the food and service was excellent.

Had half hot roast beef hero and some fries. Dessert was 3 little zeppoles.

We had a filling lentil soup over brown basmati rice which was boring but hit the spot. We both followed up with 2 frozen bar desserts-orange and peach. Obviously to celebrate TL's anniversary.

Leftover cabbage salad, macaroni salad, and a crunchy dill pickle.

A slice of cinnamon toast and a glass of ice cold skim milk for afters.

Pork Tenderloin with Bourbon Spice Rub, Brussels and Glass Noodles.

Chicken Noodle soup for me. Not great, but filled the bill.

I picked up pork barbecue, coleslaw and fries from a local place and added leftover baked beans from the 4th. Ice cream later for dessert.
