Sad News for Barbecue Fans
Barbecue fans tonight are mourning the passing of a local favorite that went nationwide... at least for a while. The Smokey Bones barbecue empire has collapsed. The restaurant chain closed 56 stores today and the remaining 73 stores are up for sale.

They should have actually used the wood they have on display instead of using it as a prop.

our paper says today the one we got last year closed. I never got by.
It was located less than half a mile from Sticky Fingers.

This is a tough restaurant market. About 2000 here to serve the tourists, but only 200 thousand residents in the off season.

1/2 mile from Sticky Fingers and they are expanding all over and Smokey Bones is closing...that ought to tell you something. Nothing to write home about, good riddance.
