These biscuits are a bit heartier than a regular biscuit. They are great for a brunch table
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/2 cup shortening
1 cup quick-cooking rolled oats
1 beaten egg
1/3 cup buttermilk
2 tablespoons honey
Stir thoroughly the flour/baking powder and salt
Cut in shortening till mixture resembles coarse crumbs
Stir in oats
Cobine egg/milk/and honey
Add all at once to dry mixture
Stir just till moistened
Drop by spoonfuls onto greased baking sheet
Bake at 475* for 8-10 minutes.
Yield: 12 biscuits
