I'll chime in on the oyster/clam front. Don't care for either raw (everyone else in my life loves them!!) or even steamed. BUT -- LOVE linguini with white clam sauce (the one that isn't really white, but green), LOVE chowder (especially Manhattan,which makes me weird, I guess), LOVE oysters rockefeller and clams casino. One time I had grilled oysters (they were placed on a huge charcoal grill, the lid was put down until they opened. Hot sauce/horseradish/melted butter -- whatever your choice was, or just plain. Yummmmm). My very favorite, though, is the aforementioned linguini with clams. Unfortunately, for some reason, the dish travels through my digestive system so quickly that I cannot order it in restaurants, have to make it at home. And can only get live clams once or twice a year. Usually, of course, when my spectacular herb garden IS NOT in season. Oh, the trials of being a foodie!
