Rotisserie smoker vs Non-Rotisserie smoker

The friendliest place on the web for anyone that enjoys cooking.
If you have answers, please help by responding to the unanswered posts.
my thoughts are the size, most rotisserie smokers are big commerical units, trying to get as much meat cooked as possible while using the min amount of fuel. non-rotisserie would be less expensive. So I guess you would have to answer, how much meat you putting on that thing. as far as I know they will both cook the same.

Rotess is best for chicken but they are a pain in the coola..moving parts..electricty etc. Aint my cup o tea on a regular basis..now maybe trying to make the best chicken in town would be ok occasionally...but not worth the effort to make it spin consistently on a small pit. Now if you lusting for a big Ole Hickory or Southern Pride and you got the bucks and the need..would go for it by all means.

You only have to have that Ferris wheel loaded, and the chain buckle, break, jump the track, etc. or anything fubar JUST ONCE and dump the whole load to convince you that it's not really such a good idea. Many great experiences can disappear by only one bad experience.
