Homemade Seasoned Bread Crumbs with a Southwest Flair
1 cup plain bread crumbs
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon garlic salt
½ teaspoon cayenne chile powder
1 teaspoon paprika powder
1 teaspoon pure chile powder (mild)
½ teaspoon salt
1 t o 2 cups buttermilk
Place bread crumbs in a bowl and add all other ingredients. Mix well and set aside.
Dredge chicken or whatever you’re coating in buttermilk and the roll in bread crumb
mixture and deep fry.
Use with flour or instant potato mix in place of the bread crumbs for fried chicken or whatever comes to mind?
