Sugar Cookies
SUGAR COOKIES
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter
1 egg
2 c. self-rising flour
1/2 tsp. vanilla
Nuts, chopped (if desired)
Cream sugar and butter well. Beat in egg. Add flour, a little at a time. Then when mixed well add flavoring and nuts. Roll out dough and cut with cookie cutter. Bake on lightly greased cookie sheet in 400 degree oven about 3 or 4 minutes or until cookies are brown around edges.
