SO fed us adult beverages and snack food. Poppers, cheese and cheese ball with crackers and pepperoni.

We celebrate Solstice rather than Xmas. But, we did follow the tradition around here of having tourtière on Xmas Eve. It was store bought, but delicious. We had it with boiled potatoes, gravy, and rødkål (Danish red cabbage). This was accompanied by some wine my neighbour gave us - a Cabernet Sauvignon from Moldavia. It was lovely.

We had pulled pork sandwiches (thanks to Aldi making the pork) and baked potato wedges. After last night's skinny fries at the burger joint, we were both craving potatoes with substance!

I made stuffed shells with another quart of the lasagna sauce I made and froze last month I also made bruschetta with some of the pesto I made from our garden basil over the summer. We also had lemon pound cake - a Christmas gift from my brother and his family - for dessert.
