What surprised you this week?

yesterday i was at the super market in holon.
there was a buzuki player who played and sung israeli and greek songs.


the music was so laud btw


i was surprised by the whole thing.



it was inside the supermarket not outside of it......

S and DIL and the grands paid a surprise pop in visit on their way to or from some other place. Kids ran around which pleased their parents as they ran off some of their energy. Then, poof-- they were gone again. Wish we lived a little closer.

I was surprised to see the long queues for petrol at sheds not there anymore.

I heard that there's petrol for the whole week now. It will be kilometres of lines from next week again I think.

I was at my local Kroger store on Tuesday and in the process of checking out. Next to me was a mother and two children. A little boy sitting in the seat and looked to be about 2. His older sister was helping her mom with their groceries.

I turned to enjoy the beautiful blue eyes of the boy when he said, "You're beautiful!" What a treat and so sweet.

And, yes, his mom said he was a couple of months before turning 2.
