Why milk that was frozen and thawed has a taste of water?

Because you are drinking skim milk. Freezing milk, then thawing it, causes it to unhomogenize (or would that be dehomogenize). Anyway, you have to shake the hell out of it to get the cream to emulisify with the milk again.

Stick blender or full size blender does wonders. Will never be exact but good enough.
