Head Chef
I found this on our local newpaper forum -- though it was a neat idea - so I tried it
it was great I use 2 eggs and added a little milk like i normally would and added some grated sharp cheese. I am going to try it next with broccoli and cheese. came out and no pan to clean up also
Ziploc freezer bag Omelet recipe
Crack 2 eggs (large or extra large) into a quart-size ziploc freezer bag.(not more than 2) shake to combine them.
Add variety of items such as cheeses, ham, onion, green pepper, tomato, hash browns salsa, etc. Add whatever you want to bag and shake.
Make sure to get the air out of the bag and zip it up.
Place the bags into rolling, boiling water for exactly 13 minutes.
You can usually cook 6-8 omelets in a large pot.
Open the bags and the omelet will roll out easily.
Be prepared for everyone to be amazed.
Make a bag up the night before and putting the bag in boiling water while you get ready for work. In 13 mins. you got a nice omelette for a quick breakfast.
