I avoid random searching because you never know the quality of the answers you get. One of my favorite sites for baking is Bake with Jack on YouTube.

I have learned so much from Jack. A must watch and he covers all aspect of bread making. I think he is one of the most thorough baker.
I also watch "Boulangerie Pas a Pas", but its in French. He is a teacher in a french baking school. https://www.youtube.com/user/fabcot/videos

I can’t imagine eating these breads. There are no nutritional value in then. I spend about $4-6 for a good loaf from Jessica’s Biscuit OR one of the local bread bakery for something that is multigrain whole wheat.

As someone else mentioned, I never throw away my starter. I just make scallion pancakes with it. Just take some starter out, add a little water to make it a little thinner and then cook away. It also keeps forever in the fridge.

This site has a lot of good stuff about sourdough... https://www.sourdoughhome.com/

I haven't had a starter in a while, but I have thought about getting back to it.

Thanks all. Frank, that is a great link!

I'll try to remember to take pix and post results. I haven't had time to start this week. Made an egg loaf though and it barely made it out of the pan before we devoured it. I suspect sourdough might suffer the same fate!
