Next time you're at the supermarket, check out the hot dog packages and see that the number of hot dogs in a package varies by brand. None has eight or ten in a package. The brand I buy has five in the package.

How old is that video? For at least the last 20 years major brands of 2oz hot dogs and hot dog buns both come in packages of 8.

I buy Omaha Steaks 3oz hot dogs, which come in packages of 4, and the bratwurst buns they fit come in packages of 6, so I buy 3 packages of hot dogs and 2 packages of buns. That's why freezers were invented!

If I were a hot dog manufacturer I would putt in as many as it takes to get an extra two. Business is business, too bad.
