Beef `N ` Biscuit Bake
Ingredients
3 to 4 pounds ground beef
2 cans (16 ounces) kidney beans, rinsed and drained
2 cans (15-1/4 ounces) whole kernel corn, drained
2 cans (10-3/4 ounces) condensed tomato soup, with 2 cans of water
1 cup milk
4 tablespoons minced onion
1 teaspoon chili powder
4 tablespoons chopped garlic
½ teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon pepper
6 tablespoons vegetable oil
2 cups cubed processed cheddar cheese
1 bag (twelve) frozen biscuits
1 stick butter or margarine, melted
½ cup corn meal
garlic flavored tabasco sauce to taste
12 inch Deep Dutch Oven
Procedure
Take biscuits out and place on a baking sheet to thaw.
Brown beef and drain. Saute garlic for three to four minutes in oil. Add browned beef, beans, corn, soup, milk, onion, chili powder, salt, pepper, and water. Bring to a boil. Stir in cheese until melted. Add garlic flavored tabasco to taste.
Place biscuits on top of bubbling meat mixture. Coat biscuits with butter and sift corn meal on top of them.
Cover and place 18 coals on top and 9 on bottom. Cook for about 30 minutes or until biscuits are brown. This will be cooking at 375 degrees.
