Espresso Black Bean Chili (vegan)

Applesauce asked me for this in another thread so I thought I'd post it up.

The Chipotle gives it a nice flavor to it and IMO should not be left out. What I did this time was get the canned Chipotle peppers and diced up 1 pepper and used 2 TBSP of the "sauce" that's in the can. I also like to add a little bit of sour cream to mix in, it tastes wonderful!

Thanks SicklyScott! Five onions sounds like a bit much, do you usually add all five when you make this? The chocolate shavings as a topping sounds good!
 
I've always put the full amount of onlons in. The taste of them though isn't very strong once you add in all the other ingredients, it just adds to the full flavor.

As for the chocolate topping, never tried it although I did have some Cincinatti chili that has both cinamon and chocolate in it and was delicious.
