*******************************
Guglhupf
1 kg flour
1 cube yeast (you have these fresh yeast cubes, haven't you? Alternative take dry yeast for 1kg flour)
250 g Margarine
250 ml milk
180 g sugar
2 eggs
pinch Salt
250 g raisins
50 g almonds, chopped
juice of a ½ lemon
confectioner's sugar
Prepare a pre-yeast dough in the middle of the flour with 1 Ts sugar und half of the milk, lukewarm.
let rest for 15-20min.
melt margarine in the rest of the warm milk, add with the rest of the ingredients to the pre-dough and knead well, let rest for another 20-30min.
Now you need a special Guglhupf-baking-pan (
amazon sells it).
Put the dough into teh well oiled baking pan and
bake in the middle of a pre-heated oven at190°C (375°F) for about one hour.
You may cover it after around 45 min, so it doesn't get too brown.
will look for the conversions soon, but now breakfast is ready ;o)
