You will need:
Preparation time: 10 mins
Ground beef (I like to use a mixture of turkey and beef, or beef pork and veal)
Two large ripe tomatoes that are a little squishy
A can of sweet baby peas
One medium sized onion
Three or four cloves of garlic
Salt and pepper
Fresh basil
Extra virgin olive oil
Cooking time: 40 mins
Finely cop the onion and sautee in medium-sized saucepan with the olive oil. Keep it on a low heat so the onions don't burn. Once the onions turn golden in color, add the finely chopped garlic. When the onions and the garlic have gotten a nice golden/brownish color, add the ground beef into the pan and stir every minute or so, keeping the pan covered, until the beef has an even color. Peel the tomatoes and dice them into medium chunks, add them to the pan. Let cook, covered on a low heat for about twenty minutes, stirring occasionally. Add the peas and cook until the sauce is ready. (About 15 minutes.)
Serve with freshly cooked pasta, linguini is my personal choice.
Enjoy!
