we had a game tonight, so dinner was light. italian dressing marinated grilled chicken legs, corn on the cob, and fries.

I like my yolks runny so I prepare the eggs on a griddle at medium high heat "under" a pot lid until the yokes become slightly opaque and very warm to the touch...
That's interesting. I'll have to try that.
Why ice water though?

Not to be confused with Kylies Down Under over easy method which might be the same as my Up Over under easy.
I should hope a 1/2 cup (120ml) portion of ice cream which contains .4 egg yolks, 10 Tsp. heavy cream, 6 Tsp. milk, and 2.5 Tsp sugar would not cause heart problems.Sounds luscious but reading it made my heart seize up just a little - and not in a good way! Enjoy!
If I get my act together early enough I'll send Himself out to put them on the grill, otherwise I'll use my cast iron grille and hope I don't set the smoke alarms off again.

There are certain things I make where hubby knows ahead of time to disable the smoke alarms. He just puts them back up once I'm done cooking.
You could just turn the circuit off that they are on (along with removing the batteries). I know, I have hard wired smoke detectors I had to disable. Way too sensitive.
