I get Chef's catalogue. They sell truffle infused olive oil from there, both white and black truffle. When you receive the bottle, it has shaved truffle in it. I also get truffle salt from a place in Pike's Place Market, in Seattle, through the mail. It is a sea salt mixed with ground truffles. No artificial flavor there. The brand name of the truffle salt is - Casina Rossa, Ritrovo Selections, Truffle and Salt. The ingredients list - Italian Sea Salt and Summer Truffle.
Truffles are hard to find and are rare, hence the astronomic price. They have a unique flavor among the mushroom world, and are very potent. A little goes a long way. Hope this helps.
Also, the truffle flavor is very volatile and will be lost if the flavor is added while cooking. Both the oil and the salt are to be used for finishing the dish, at the plate.
