I looked for a cookie forum in here, and didn't find one.

Sharing: my standard recipe for Christmas shortbread:
1 cup butter
1/2 cup icing sugar
2 cups flour
1/4 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
How to:
Soften butter, add sugar then flour sifted with salt, bp. Flatten on a board and cut into pieces. The dough should be fairly thick and pliable, a little softer than plasticine. Can decorate with nuts, cherries .
Bake 20-25 mins. at 325

Anyone want to share theirs?

At the top of each page, the blue bar, starting with Home - go across about to the middle and click on desserts. Cookies are half way down the list.

The brown sugar shortbreads my grandma made. I'll be making those this weekend and will post the recipe under the virtual Christmas Cookie exchange thread.

thanks everyone! I finally am making my way around these groups....very well organized! other forums I've been on (soapmaking, gardening) aren't as defined. This looks like a great place to share.

Now off to find that virtual Christmas cookie exchange thread...
