Garbage Disposal Question

The only thing I was told not to put down mine are citrus peels. But I do whirl lemon peels for a second or two and remove them.

I‘ve potato peels, gg shells, coffee grounds and most everything else in a garbage disposer for 55 years now without a problem. They are sturdy machines.
Just read the manual! I put things in mine that I see people saying never do and it's never faltered but I am careful to run lots of water afterwards to make sure it goes on out the water pipe. I've had mine for at least 20 years.

The one thing I will say do not put in it is celery whether cooked or raw. Those strings are tough. And in general just never put a huge amount of food down it at once and then use plenty of water to keep it moving.
