Assistant Cook
Hello everyone!
I'm a retired home-cooking fan. I don't necessarily do all that much fancy cooking (I've never shaved a truffle ), but I enjoy making food that tastes good.
The majority of what I cook is Mediterranean, Polish/Slavic, German. There's a bit of Irish cooking, and a little Mongolian.
I bought a convection microwave about two years ago and I've fallen in love with it. I do about 95% of my cooking and baking in it. I use it to roast meat, bake cakes/pies/cookies, as well as the basics like steaming veggies and melting butter. So far the only staples I don't make in it are pasta and mashed potatoes.
I'm looking forward to discussions about food.
