Pork Chops with Apples

6 center cut pork chops
2 cans apple pie slices
2 tablespoons butter
1 can Coca-Cola

Fry the washed pork chops in a small amount of vegetable oil until done. Drain on paper towels and wash skillet. Pour contents of both cans apple pie slices into skillet; add butter and Coco-Cola. Place the pork chops over the apples. Cover with a lid and simmer for 10 minutes and serve.

Rainee, I have a question about this recipe:

It mentions to fry the chops, remove, then wash the skillet before making the sauce.

Wouldn't it be better to deglaze the pan with the Coca-Cola, then add the other two ingredients, and have a nice pork flavor in the sauce?

Rainee, I just may try your recipe tonight. I have fresh apples, Granny Smith, but I think it will work, and I have to cut the recipe as I live alone. It really sounds good.
