Rotisserie Chicken with Hot and Spicy Hush Puppies

Two birds on the spit and some southern comfort food in the fry pan.



For heat, the hush puppies had some cayenne pepper and half a jalapeno pepper. The rest of the ingredients included
sweet onion, green onion, grated Cheddar, etc., etc. . . . I will add the recipe later if there's any interest.



Plated with a nice green salad and orange dipping sauce.

P.S. put the baskets to the right and left of the spit. You'll get a more even cook. Drip pan is a must. Again great job!!!!.

I fell down in a couple of areas when I prepared them. I really don't do much fried food so I have a problem keeping the oil temperature consistent. After I fried the puppies and put them on some paper to drain, I cut one open and it seemed a bit raw inside. I put some back in the pan to cook more and got them too saturated with oil and dark. The ones I left alone came out fine. I guess the puppie centers continue to cook as they cool. I should have left them alone.

Anyway, I really liked the ones that I didn't mess with and I'm going to try them again.
